I decided to speed-watch (by clicking the slider) the whole game on youtube, surprisingly enough, I understood it to a degree and the only thing that confused me was the whole timetravel stuff when the pod was in the jungle with the elephant guys.įunnily I started to see Rufus from another perspective when I watched the game and thought back on when I played the first two (I have not played the third or the fourth game), and now understood why people thought of him as a living catastrophe and thought "when will he screw things up?). I understand it better now but I still hold my ground on wanting a better end. I couldn't understand at that time why someone would pay and invest in a game to feel negative emotions in the end. Others as seen on the forum, value the journey and didn't really mind the bad ending. I personally value an ending very much and fully understand the Mass Effect 3 situation. Yep you heard, I'm on that train, but hear me out, I'm not done yet.Īfter reading a lot of threads regarding the ending, some liked it some didn't, I understand both sides and it does come down to what you value. I looked at posts around the forum and noticed an oddly amount of "this ending is bad" threads, this piqued my curiosity since I do not mind spoilers if it lets me avoid a bad ending and save me time that I don't have to invest in such a game. I remembered back on Youtube, on where I had seen the game, I had only seen a small glimpse of the ending, I was curious. Found it and immediately looked on the forum for anything interesting. I thought to myself, "Wow a new Deponia game" a surge of positive emotions surged through me and I quickly searched on Steam for it. I did however watch the ending of the game accidently on Youtube while browsing and that is how I got wind of it.
